Xear Magic Voice — Full Write-up
Overview
Xear Magic Voice is a real-time audio-processing technology designed to modify, enhance, or transform a user’s voice during live communications and recordings. It combines digital signal processing (DSP), pitch-shifting, timbre shaping, noise suppression, and optional effects so users can change gender perception, age, tone, or add stylized effects (robotic, chipmunk, echo, etc.) while preserving intelligibility and low latency.
Kaelen was a silence-smuggler.

- Acoustic Echo Cancellation: Essential for preventing loop feedback when speakers are used (though headset users rarely need this).
- Voice Focus: A noise-gate that isolates speech frequencies, cutting out keyboard clatter or fan noise.
- Microphone Boost: A software-based gain control that pushes a quiet mic into audible ranges (use with caution to avoid clipping).
