What is a .WUA file? Think of a .WUA file as the "NSP" of the Wii U world. It stands for Wii U Archive. Unlike the older .WUD format (which is a 1:1 dump of the disc) or the Loadiine format (which is a folder full of loose files), a .WUA is a compressed, single-file container that contains all the necessary game data.
WUA was designed to combine the strengths of WUX (compression) and NUS (update/DLC integration) while eliminating the weaknesses of Loadiine (file bloat).
