If you’ve recently picked up SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition on PC—whether from a dusty CD-ROM, Steam, or GOG—you’ve probably noticed it doesn’t run perfectly out of the box. Crashes when zooming, lag on modern CPUs, and the dreaded “Save As” CTD (Crash to Desktop) can make the game unplayable.
