Do not copy the .nfo or text files into the root.

Right-click steam_api64.dll -> Properties. If it is "Blocked" by Windows (common for downloaded DLLs), check "Unblock" at the bottom of the General tab.

1. Download the latest REFramework (dinput8.dll) from GitHub (Raz0r/REFramework).
2. Place dinput8.dll into your game root folder next to re4.exe.
3. Launch the game. You will see a teal-colored console window appear. Do not close it.
4. Wait 30 seconds. The black screen should fade into the main menu.

• If the game supports switching renderers, force the other API via config or command-line option (e.g., add a launch option to select DirectX instead of Vulkan).
