- Linux: No "driver" is needed. The
qcserialandqmi_wwankernel modules recognize Qualcomm DIAG ports natively. Tools likeedl(from bkerler) or Qualcomm’s ownQFILfor Linux (limited) can communicate via/dev/ttyUSB0or/dev/ttyACM0. - macOS: Third-party virtual COM port drivers (e.g., SiLabs) can work, but most users run a Windows VM with USB passthrough.
- Launch
QFIL.exe(from QPST installation). - Select "Flat Build" or "Meta Build" based on your firmware.
- Click "Browse" and select the
rawprogram0.xmland the associatedpatch0.xml. - Load the Firehose programmer file (e.g.,
prog_emmc_firehose_8937.mbn). - Ensure the correct COM port is selected.
- Click Download. Wait 5–15 minutes. Do not disconnect.
