Act III: Mud, Logs, and Primal Screams
The final twenty minutes of Predator are a silent film. Dialogue evaporates. The score, by Alan Silvestri, strips away the heroic brass and leaves only a percussive, staccato heartbeat. Dutch, covered in mud, sets traps. He builds a spring-loaded log, a spiked pendulum, a net. He reverts to the most primitive form of man: the caveman.
