On Windows 10 / 11:
- Plug in the Otkefdi OBD2 adapter (do not connect to the car yet—just USB).
- Press
Win + Xand select Device Manager. - Expand Ports (COM & LPT) or Universal Serial Bus controllers.
- Look for an unknown device labeled:
For "FTDI Clone" (Counterfeit chip)
- Problem: Official FTDI drivers after 2014 intentionally brick counterfeit chips (set PID to 0000).
- Fix:
