The NeoRAGEx saga began in the late 1990s. The original Neo Geo was considered the "Rolls-Royce of consoles", costing roughly $600 with games priced at $200 each. This extreme price point created a massive demand for emulation. NeoRAGEx (Neo Geo Real-time Authenticated Game Executor) became the gold standard because it was incredibly fast and could run on low-spec hardware that modern emulators like MAME could not. 2.
