3. Cross-Platform Enterprise Deployment
- IT admins can prepare a fully configured macOS Ventura image (with Office 365, VPN, MDM profiles) as a VMDK and distribute it to internal VMware hosts.
2. Attach it
hdiutil attach Ventura.sparseimage
- Open VMware Fusion on Mac.
- Create a new VM → Choose “Install from disk or image” → Point to the Ventura installer app.
- Set disk size: 60+ GB, split into multiple files (VMDK).
- Let the VM boot, partition the virtual disk via Disk Utility, and install macOS Ventura.
- After installation, the VM’s hard drive(s) will be proper VMDK files (e.g.,
Ventura.vmdk, Ventura-s001.vmdk).
Let the installation run – it will create a working VMDK in:
~/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/macOS Ventura.vmwarevm/ macos ventura vmdk
