- Download the official FTDI CDM Drivers (v2.12.28 or newer recommended).
- Plug in your KESS V2 device via USB.
- Open Device Manager. You will likely see the device under "Other Devices" or "USB Controllers."
- Right-click and "Update Driver" -> "Browse my computer" -> "Let me pick."
- Select the FTDI driver. Ensure the COM port number is set between COM 1 and COM 4. The older KESS software struggles with high COM port numbers (like COM 7 or COM 9).
