Step 2: Unlocking and TWRP

Enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging in Developer Options (tap Build Number 7 times to unlock this menu).
Power off the tablet. Hold Volume Down + Power to enter Download Mode. Long press Volume Up to confirm unlock (this wipes the device).
Open Odin on your PC. Load the TWRP .tar file into the AP slot.
Connect the tablet. Once the COM port turns blue/yellow, hit Start.
Crucial Step: When the tablet reboots, you must hold Volume Up immediately to enter TWRP. If you miss this, the stock recovery will overwrite TWRP, and you will have to start over.
