Important Note: Forza Horizon 1 was delisted from digital storefronts (Xbox Marketplace) in October 2016 due to car/music licensing expirations. You cannot purchase new DLC digitally anymore. However, here is how DLC functions for this title today.
- The 1000 Club Expansion Pack: This added 120 new in-game challenges, forcing you to master specific cars in creative ways. It also unlocked the Pagani Huayra.
- The Rally Expansion Pack: The crown jewel. It added a completely new off-road rally mode, new dirt tracks, night racing, and 4 new rally legends (including the Subaru WRX STI and the Lancia Delta S4).
- Season Pass / Car Pass: Gave access to 6 monthly car packs at a discount.
- VIP Membership: Doubled your race earnings, gave you exclusive “VIP” Rivals events, and a crown icon next to your name.
- Individual Car Packs (Launch, IGN, December, etc.): These added over 40 cars, including the 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish, the 2013 Viper GTS, and the absurd Warthog from Halo.
- Checking your internet connection
- Restarting your console or PC
- Ensuring you have enough storage space
- Contacting Microsoft Support or Xbox Support for further assistance
- Ensure the code was not previously redeemed. If the code was for the "Season Pass," it should work. If the code is for a specific delisted item, it may fail if Microsoft has fully revoked the SKU from the backend (though this is rare for Forza).
