Ctronics Firmware Update [updated] Now
Ctronics security cameras generally receive firmware updates through the Ctronics Pro or Cloud Edge mobile apps, or via a web browser using the camera's local IP address. While some models support silent "over-the-air" (OTA) updates, others may require a manual process using a microSD card for critical fixes. Ways to Update Ctronics Firmware
Phase 1: Preparation (Do Not Skip)
- Record your current version. Go to Camera Settings > Device Info. Write down the existing firmware version.
- Hardwire the camera. Connect the camera to your router via an Ethernet cable. Power it with the original 12V adapter (not PoE, unless confirmed).
- Disable firewall & antivirus temporarily. These often block the update protocol.
- Use the right browser: Internet Explorer (IE mode in Edge) or Pale Moon 32-bit. Chrome and Firefox will fail silently.
